We’re currently in our pilot stage and looking for educators, administrators, and counselors to help with our iterative testing this summer. The technical term is a private beta, but we’re calling it a summer preview of Carousel. You can join us by signing up for our Advocate-Only Tournament to earn points for SEL activities, compete for top scores on our leaderboard, and get a taste of what students/youth are sure to love this fall!
When is the summer preview?
The summer preview is currently running on a weekly basis. You can sign up for free any time!
Nope! Carousel is completely free to test this summer and to use with your students throughout the fall semester. If you love it (and we hope you do!), you can upgrade for additional features and content.
02. The Product
What kinds of activities are available on Carousel?
Activity themes are based on the CASEL 5 Framework competencies. Players are prompted to THINK (solo reflection, research, and respond), DO (go out in the world to do something and report back), and TALK (find someone to talk to and report back).
Can I keep track of my students’ individual SEL progress?
Yes! Through the Advocate Dashboard, you can track students’ individual level progression, their consistency and depth of practice, and how their progress compares to their peers.
Can I add more than one class to my dashboard?
Definitely! For an additional cost, you can upgrade and add unlimited spaces (aka classrooms) to your dashboard.
How many students/youth and teachers/advocates can participate?
Each space includes 30 player accounts for students/youth and one advocate account for teachers/administrators/counselors. Your first space is free, but you can always upgrade to add more spaces for more players and advocates.
What content will be available on the platform? And who creates the SEL content?
Carousel delivers a mix of videos, memes, and pop culture references to make SEL feel like a game--not an assignment. Our content is created by RellaFit and vetted by DEI specialists.
